Product Scheduler


Reference: 3868691

The Product Scheduler is responsible for the blending and delivery of 80% of NZ's hydrocarbon product needs. The role plays an important part in ensuring the customer gets what they want, when they want, in full. To put it technically, the Product Scheduler works closely with our customers to finalise lifting plans, right from "component rundown" to final product.

This role is an important interface between our people and our customers and as such must have;

  • The ability to influence key stakeholders
  • The ability to anticipate and resolve product supply and product quality issues
  • The capability to optimise processes
  • The foresight to identify and mitigate constraints
  • Problem solving skills to ensure any product quality or delivery matters are proactively resolved
  • Diplomacy and tact to juggle refining capability and customer needs
  • Oversight and communication with a number of different stakeholders to ensure a 24/7 process and product delivery
  • Skills to understand and work with the Engineering team to influence the engineering maintenance schedule ensuring maximum production, blending and delivery of our product

We expect the successful applicant will have

  • An engineering or science degree (or relative refinery knowledge/experience)
  • At least 3-4 years refinery experience
  • Highly developed IT skills
  • The ability to manage and make sense of multiple data inputs to produce timely and optimal blend schedules
  • Highly developed problem solving skills
  • Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including strong influencing and negotiation skills
